ABOUT ME

Enora born in France in 1995. After her pre-professional dance studies at the Conservatoire de Nantes, she moves in 2014 to Essen (Germany) to start a Bachelor of Arts - Dance at the Folkwang University of Arts. In this context, she worked with the choreographers Thusnelda Mercy, Giorgia Maddamma, Daniel Goldin and Navala Nikku Chaudhauri. Shortly after her graduation in 2018, she danced as guest dancer for the Folkwang Tanzstudio, collaborating on the remount of Wilderness tender from Stephanie Miracle (US). She has been invited to dance again alongside the company in 2022 in the frame of the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen with the choreography Colossus from Stephanie Lake (AU).

As a freelance artist, Enora has worked with various choreographers and companies in Germany, including Ben J. Riepe Cie, Marie-Lena Kaiser, Chun Zhang / YIBU Dance Cie, Domenico Strazzeri / Strado Compagnia Danza and Eric Trottier / La Trottier Dance Company. She also collaborates internationally, notably in Luxembourg with Giovanni Zazzera / Z Art Dance Cie, where she has been a regular performer since 2021 and, since 2023, also works as the company’s touring manager.

In 2019, she created her first solo Jardin sous l’eau premiered in Thessaloniki and got invited to perform it in 2020 in Aachen (Schrit_tmcaher Generation2) and Poland where she got elected as finalist of the dance solo contest Gdanski Festiwal Tanca. Later she restaged it in 2024 at the occasion of Festival Tanz Made in Ulm and performed it afterwards at Contest.energy’24 at the International Tanztheater Festival Erfurt where she won the 1st price of the choreographic contest. She has toured the piece in Spain, Germany and Mexico.

In parallel of her activity as a performer, Enora explores her curious interest in the human body and its resources through a Feldenkrais training started in December 2020. This interest also reflects in her own movement language, which is closely linked to the realm of sensitiveness and sensory exploration.

My educational background has given me a deep understanding of the nuances of movement qualities, body states and emotional engagement.

I haven been particularly influenced by the teaching I received in France from Rodolfo Araya, who forged my deep passion for exploration of unkowns in improvisation.

He used to say: "Put your body at the service of movement." I developed this belief that dance isn't about presenting yourself on stage, but rather about allowing yourself to disappear behind unkown protagonists, ideas or images.

The foundations of my technique were reinforced by rigorous teaching of ballet, Joss-Leeder method and Jean Cébron études during my years spent at the Folkwang University in Germany.
