DISCOVER THE FELDENKRAIS METHOD®
Feldenkrais is a somatic learning method based on neuroscience, biology and motor development. It uses principles of neuroplasticity as a way to learn, relearn or unlearn movement patterns that has been either anchored within us or missing from our human development, partly influenced by our social learnings and external environment.
The practice is made of different lessons designed to explore basic movement patterns in a comfortable and effortless manner. The method encourages playful curiosity with a “nothing to achieve” and non-judgmental approach.
By interacting with the brain’s naturally flexible, always-learning quality, the lessons can facilitate the development of new neurological pathways to expand our options for healthy posture, movement, musculoskeletal organization, and self-use.
The method is divided in two branches:
-
Awareness throuhg movement ® (group lessons)
-
Functional Integration® (individual hands-on sessions)
"Errors are essential.
There is no right way to move,
only better ways."
